About Me

Hi, I’m Jess Warner. I started my career as an FBI Intelligence Analyst, where I took my sharp analytical skills in US national security and used them to make sense of the data chaos. Now, I apply those same skills to my work with Accenture here in New Zealand. Since moving in 2023, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with organisations like New Zealand Police, MSD, and Fonterra.

I’m inspired by data visualisation because of its power to tell stories, much like Florence Nightingale did in her groundbreaking work using data to improve public health. For me, visualisation isn’t just about making pretty charts—it’s about telling a story that actually means something and helps people make better decisions. As a Relator and Learner, this space is where I truly thrive—making connections, learning new things, and figuring out how to create some actual impact while trying not to get lost in the data fog.

I constantly test myself to see what I can achieve. While heights still challenge me, maybe one day I’ll conquer that too. One day, I might conquer that too. For now, I’m focused on pushing boundaries in data, consulting, and personal growth. And, after some adventure and adjustment, I’m thrilled to have found my home here in NZ.

About The Viz Lab

Welcome to The Viz Lab—where data becomes more than just numbers on a page. Here, I share my journey of turning complex data into engaging, interactive visualisations. Using Tableau Public, I craft visuals that are not only insightful but enjoyable to explore.

In The Viz Lab, you’ll find projects that showcase the power of data to inform, reveal, and inspire. Whether it's uncovering trends or finding patterns in the chaos, my aim is to create visuals that make you stop, think, and maybe even discover something new. My goal is to spark curiosity and encourage you to see data from a different perspective, while I continue to grow and challenge myself in this ever-evolving field.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
